BIENVENUE! WELCOME! to the Pilot Whale Chalets.
The long finned Pilot Whale navigates the coastal waters of Cape Breton
feeding on squid. Gregarious,
playful, and social by nature , they travel in pods of 10-20 whales and
spottings of 200 or more have been seen off our coasts. The Pilot Whale
Chalets and B&B have been named for these giant mammals since they
epitomize the adventure of nature on our island. We are located near the
Cape Breton Highlands National Park and on the Cabot Trail; both will
provide an unforgettable experience into serene nature, majestic landscape,
and ocean vistas where the Pilot Whales can be viewed in their habitat.
The Cabot Trail has lured many travelers to our doorstep to enjoy spectacular
scenery along the 180 miles of highway that wind along the coastal terrain
of Cape Breton Island. Enjoy the adventure of discovering pristine nature,
the sweep of the eagles, the flukes of the whales, the swish of the fly
rod, or the quiet reflection of a sunset. Your spot is reserved, so just
call to confirm your reservation. |
